Our client is seeking an experienced Finance Assistant to join its small Finance team based in Dorchester.
This is an exciting time to join this growing company and play a crucial role in its future success.

Responsibilities of the Finance Assistant include:

  • Provision of financial transactions to support the monthly management accounts, including accruals, prepayments, and monthly journals
  • Review and analyse financial statements and reports
  • Process payments to suppliers
  • Oversee sales and purchase ledgers, making sure they are up to date and error free
  • Reconciliation of various intercompany nominal accounts
  • Bank account reconciliation for various currencies
  • Weekly reporting
  • Assist in creation of company budgets
  • Assist in preparation of Group VAT return
  • Assist in controlling cash balances in line with payroll requirements across the Group
  • Deal with customer queries

The successful Finance Assistant will require the following attributes:

  • Excellent analytical and numerical abilities
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Previous experience in a finance / accounting role
  • Studying towards ACA/CIMA/ACCA or equivalent an advantage
You are required to be eligible to work in the UK full time without restriction.
