Our client is seeking an experienced Finance Assistant to join its small Finance team based in Dorchester.
This is an exciting time to join this growing company and play a crucial role in its future success.
Responsibilities of the Finance Assistant include:
- Provision of financial transactions to support the monthly management accounts, including accruals, prepayments, and monthly journals
- Review and analyse financial statements and reports
- Process payments to suppliers
- Oversee sales and purchase ledgers, making sure they are up to date and error free
- Reconciliation of various intercompany nominal accounts
- Bank account reconciliation for various currencies
- Weekly reporting
- Assist in creation of company budgets
- Assist in preparation of Group VAT return
- Assist in controlling cash balances in line with payroll requirements across the Group
- Deal with customer queries
The successful Finance Assistant will require the following attributes:
- Excellent analytical and numerical abilities
- Good oral and written communication skills
- High attention to detail
- Previous experience in a finance / accounting role
- Studying towards ACA/CIMA/ACCA or equivalent an advantage
