Milton Keynes with hybrid working


Hours:
Full-time, 35 hours per week


Contract:
Permanent


Salary:
£31,000 per annum

About the role:


As Donor Development Coordinator, you will work with the fundraising assistant as well as staff across the organisation, to retain and steward relationships, as well as attract new donors to maximise income across established streams.

This role is also responsiblefor developing the organisation's mid-level donor and legacy programmes which are vital income streams that help to continue their work supporting spinal cord injured people.

You will help to grow, strengthen, and develop the organisation's voluntary income from individuals.

Working with the trusts and donor development manager, you will deliver individual giving activities to build the organisation's relationship with individualsupporters so that they are actively, emotionally, and financially invested in their work.


Key responsibilities will include:


  • Achieving an agreed income target through a range of individual giving activities, seasonal activities and legacy gifts working with the trusts and donor development manager.
  • Planning and implementing individual giving fundraising activities such as direct mail appeals, online campaigns, in memory giving, and other similar streams.
  • Designing and creating compelling appeals/campaigns for individual donors in collaboration with the communications and campaigns team, programme teams and external parties for example designers and copywriters.
  • Supporting the identification, cultivation, and stewardship of midlevel donors by creating strong relationships and attending donor meetings and events.
  • Planning and implementing stewardship journeys for individual donors, such as thanking, and coordinating with the investments and partnerships team to create regular updates.
  • Increasing the organisation's visibility to potential donors through new fundraising materials and communication strategies
  • Line manage the fundraising assistant who supports individual giving.
  • Overseeing the administration of income received from individuals and delegating to the fundraising assistant as appropriate.

About you:


For the role of Donor Development Coordinator, we are looking for an individual who is motivated, and results-oriented, with a passion for developing relationships with donors and making a positive impact.


To perform well in this role, you'll need:

  • At least one year's experience in a charity fundraising role.
  • Track record of raising money from individual donors.
  • Demonstrable experience in cultivating and stewarding donor relationships.
  • Demonstrable experience in planning and delivering successful fundraising appeals/campaigns.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written skills, and a strong command of the English language and grammar.
  • High standard of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent team working skills with a proven ability to build strong relationships with colleagues.
