We are seeking Teaching Assistants who are looking for flexible work.

Your role will be to work in either one school on a longer term/permanent basis, or you can work on a flexible 0-hour contract where you work as and when you choose to and you may work in various school.

This is a great way to get experience if you are seeking a career within education.

As a Teaching Assistant you will be working within the class to support the class teacher with their lessons, you will be working alongside a team of support staff in class, and you will be working on a 1-1 basis with SEN students.

To be successful in this role it is desirable if you:

  • Have experience working within a school setting
  • Have experience working with children and/or adults with learning difficulties including ADHD, SEMH and ASC.
  • Have a good understanding of Special Educational Needs, or a willingness to learn
  • Be able to demonstrate a good understanding of the role of a Teaching Assistant in a special needs school
  • Have the ability to engage pupils in their learning and support them in their social, emotional and personal wellbeing
To work with GSL Education as a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant, you should:

  • Have the right to work in the UK.
  • Have an uptodate CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
  • Please be advised that this role requires strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection and that successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks including an enhanced DBS on the update service._
