Description

Tasks include:

• Preparing management accounts and forecasting cashflow.
• Assist the Directors in analysing the financial performance of the practice.
• Posting transactions to QuickBooks.
• Helping gather information for preparing and issuing monthly fee accounts.
• Tracking cumulative fee position on projects.
• Daily management of banking and making payments.
• Preparing and submitting quarterly VAT returns.
• Preparing information to allow external accountants to prepare yearend accounts.
• Preparing the annual statement of profit.
• Manage debtors and highlighting issues.
• Filing annual confirmation statements, assisted by external advisers where required.
• Filing annual share scheme filings, assisted by external advisers where required.
• Managing the time recording software package with administrative support.
• Reviewing and update hourly rates.
• Annually renewing insurances for professional indemnity, office, IT and directors.
• Assisting with office orders, meetings, equipment, annual safety reviews.

Essential attributes:
Accountancy skills. Experience of working with QuickBooks or similar accounting package. Trustworthy, conscientious and discreet. Good communication skills and able to work well with others. Proficient with Outlook,Excel and other Microsoft software. Must have right to work in the UK.


Desirable attributes:
Familiarity with how architects practise. Experience of Noveos Practice Manager or similar time management system. Willingness to assist others.
