Carpenter and Joiner Required

LSQ Construction limited is a London based construction company operating in and around London area.

Due to recent growth, we are looking for a carpenter/joiner to undertake a variety of tasks such as constructing, erecting, installing and repairing wooden structures and fittings used in internal and external frameworks and cut, shape, fit and assemble wood to make templates etc at our residential projects.

You should be familiar with measuring, cutting and fixing timber using screws, nails with different hand and power tools. Your job will involve working with customers on various projects. You must be able to follow instructions and willing to work in a team.

This vacancy is for immediate start.


Skills:
Familiarity with common cutting tools

Excellent time management skills

Ability to follow instructions.

Good communication skills in order to interact with customers and team members.

Strong physical stamina for repetitive tasks over long periods of time

High school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.


Responsibilities:

Perform tasks such as joining timber frames and fixing them using drills, erecting stud partition walls, Measure, cut, and shape wood and other materials according to specifications using saws, chisels and other power or hand tools.

This may include working at heights using ladders.

Clean up job sites after each task to ensure that all necessary materials were put away and the job site is safe for other team members.

Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.
This may include sweeping or mopping floors, sweeping, or sweeping windows, general cleaning etc.

Be able to lift 30 pounds unassisted throughout the day.


Salary:
£19,000.00 per year
