HR Administrator (Part - Time, hours per week, Mon - Fri)


Dains are recruiting a part-time HR Administrator to join our proactive and responsive HR department to support with HR admin tasks to support the wider business.

As a HR Administrator, you will be a part of our HR department, meaning you will be liaising with all members of staff within the business.

This role requires a dedicated individual who can build strong, professional relationships firm wide and offer themost proactive and effective support.


We are a firm of accountants & business advisers, who operate from five offices in the Midlands and have 34 Partners and Directors and over 200 staff.

This is a part-time position hours per week, Monday to Friday.

KeyResponsibilities as HR Administrator:


  • Supporting the onboarding process for new starters and ensuring all documents are prepared
  • Maintain employee's sickness, maternity and paternity records as well as distributing relevant sickness forms
  • Have strong communications with the recruitment team and support with the new starter onboarding process by ensuring Contracts of Employment and additional documents are up to date and completed
  • Diarise probationary meetings and quarterly reviews in employees' diaries
  • Use our internal, additional software (CCH) to update changes andreconcile annual leave entitlement with the HR database
  • Ensure that all compliance documentation is up to date
  • Draft employee letters in relation to any changes to terms of employment, such as salary changes, promotions, and resignation letters
  • Work to tight deadlines and departmental SLA's to closely support the Head of HR and HR Advisor

Personal Attributes:


  • Create strong relationships with all staff across the business
  • To strive to high quality and demonstrate high commitment
  • Have good written and oral communications skills
  • Strong Microsoft skills such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint and be confident to learn all internal systems
  • Hold a full UK driving licence as travel to different offices may be necessary
  • Be able to maintain confidentiality
