Warehouse & Despatch Operative

We are looking for an experienced fork lift operative to load vehicles in a busy factory warehouse / Dispatch Department.

You will be responsible for assisting the Transport Manager with the day to day planning of deliveries, mostly within the UK, for a busy manufacturing site.

You will be required to liaise with other departments within the business, Customers and suppliers.

You must have very good geographical knowledge of the UK, and understand the most efficient ways of loading various size vehicles to make the most of the space.

Experience of driving a counterbalance fork truck (with a licence) is required as you will be required to load/offload vehicles.

Good attendance and timekeeping are vital.

The hours for this role are:
Monday - Thursday 2pm - 9pm,

Friday 1pm - 8pm

One paid 30 minute break each paid.

You will essentially be in work 35 hours per week and be paid for 40 hours (in lieu of a shift allowance).

Job Duties:

Facilitate the shipping of products from one destination to another.
Arrange transportation, and organise deliveries to meet customer demand by liaising with other departments.
Responsible for making sure supplies, stock, materials, packages, and/or products are processed through the delivery and/or warehouse system efficiently and safely.
Takes steps to avoid quality control issues
Makes sure warehouse capacity is kept at optimal levels

£26,000.00 per year
