    With a 1,000-year history, the Tower of London attracts nearly three million visitors each year. Our new strategy aims to make HRP a charity for everyone, transforming the Tower into a more relevant and engaging place over the next decade.

    About the Role

    We are seeking a Head of Operations, also known as the Deputy Governor, to lead the day-to-day operations at the Tower of London. This includes delivering outstanding customer service, ensuring visitor security, and maintaining the site's buildings and objects.

    Main Responsibilities

    • Lead the delivery of complex public-facing operations that engage diverse audiences and visitors.
    • Work closely with colleagues across the Historic Royal Palaces Group to ensure consistent operational excellence.
    • Promote an inclusive culture for all visitors and staff.

    Requirements

    The successful candidate will have experience in leadership roles, preferably within the British Armed Forces or equivalent, with a track record of successfully leading change and promoting cultural improvement.

    This is a key role in shaping the future of the Tower of London and we welcome applications from candidates with the necessary skills and experience.
