  • The students finish at 315PM but they have an end of day staff briefing for about 1520 mins after that.
  • They have whole
    staff training on Wednesday afternoons and new staff training on Thursday afternoons.
  • This means staff finish at 4:30 PM on these days

ABOUT THE SCHOOL
- 'Outstanding' by Ofsted, to provide an innovative education to students with statements for Speech, Language and Communication.

  • Serving the local community it fulfils the need for secondary places for students with speech and language barriers.
  • The School aims to create an environment in which our students can achieve their maximum potential, gain independence and social awareness so that they can enjoy and participate in the world of work and adult society along with their mainstream peers.
  • The School currently has 5 year groups 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11. Each year group has 12 students and lessons are taught in small groups averaging 6 pupils.
  • They aim to develop confident, independent and inquisitive learners, who will become active members of their community.

ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Working closely with our Head of SEN, Speech & Language Therapists and other experienced teaching professionals providing support and guidance, your role will be to:
  • implement personalised learning programmes with individual students / groups in or outside lessons
- enhance the provision for students by taking responsibility for specific long-term projects or short-term learning activities
- support teachers in monitoring pupils and assessing, recording and reporting on pupil achievement, progress and development.

  • Working with small groups of students
  • Working one to one with students as required
