Some business experience is desirable, including that with corporate or other clients who are looking to achieve their sustainability goals and targets on a number of different fronts.
Responsibilities
- Undertake deskbased and telephone research into global EPR requirements
- Identify sources of global packaging and other EPR information
- Read and summarise legislation and other legal and nonlegal documents
- Distil information into easily understood tables, summaries and presentations
- Suggest alternative research methods to develop techniques and improve efficiency
- Work independently with mínimal supervision from line manager to populate library
- Contribute to the sales process (e.g. provide support to the Commercial team in sales meetings and proposals etc.)
- Present information to clients
- Contribute to service marketing, such as writing blogs and case studies
- Contribute towards a supportive, positive and energetic working environment
- Promote excellence, evaluate processes, problem solve and support the team to exceed the expectations of our clients
- Support the company mission and objectives
- Other appropriate duties which arise in support of the business goals
Skills
- Strong interest or experience in the sustainability sector
- Experience of working in a business environment
- Attention to detail
- Research experience
- Strong communication skills
- Experience of Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint
- Confidence in understanding technical and legal information
- Ability to simplify and summarise detailed and complex information
- Clear and engaging writing style, excellent verbal communication and the ability to present complex information in a clientfriendly way
- Organised and systematic approach to work
- Selfstarter and driven
- Adept at both supporting colleagues and team working
- Language skills (desirable)
- Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) knowledge (desirable)
- Understanding of and experience in sustainability policy (desirable)
