Wyn Bishop Funeral Directors are seeking a professional individual for the role of Funeral Operative. Promotion to other roles is a possibility based on performance.

This a full time position with participation in an out of hours rota, which is paid in addition to salary.

The position will include the following duties

Preparation of vehicles and maintaining the premises and grounds and the day to day running of the company
Driving of funeral vehicles.
Assisting with all aspects of the funeral day and assisting the funeral director as required, occasionally bearing the coffin
Duties in relation to visits to hospital and private residency at the time of a bereavement and ensuring families loved ones are taken care of as the family have requested
Assistance with the memorial masonry side of the business

Will have a full UK Driving licence,
Good level of communication skills and empathetic manner
Welsh speaking would be an advantage
To be physically fit and able to lift and carry heavy weights by following manual handling procedures.

Salary per year:
£20,000 (4 days/32 hours) -23,800 (5 days/40 hours)

We have an option to work 32 hours if preferred, (4 days a week)
