Who Are We?


Here at the Percy Hedley Foundation we provide a wide range of high quality, specialist and personalised care and education support to disabled people and their families.

We meet the needs of disabled people with cerebral palsy, communication impairments, sensory impairments and complex learning, social care and therapeutic needs.

Catering operates under our Central Services function and provides complex catering provision to our service users ensuring all of their dietary requirements are met.

The Role


We currently have vacancies for Bank Cooks that will be required to work across our range of adult residential, education and day services.

Working as part of a small team you will work alongside the Chef Supervisor to assist in menu planning when required and will manage the day to day running of the kitchen.

This post is a zero hours contract.

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Newcastle upon Tyne, NE12 8YY: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Licence/Certification:

  • Food Hygiene Certificate (required)
  • NVQ 2 in Catering or equivalent (required)
