Description

Full Time, Permanent

An exciting and rewarding opportunity has arisen to join Bristol Adult Social Care as a Social Care Practitioner within our South Locality Team.

We work with citizens living in the south of the city to carry out reviews and reassessments where people have an existing commissioned service in place.

We are a busy generic team, operating a duty system alongside allocated case work.

The team is dynamic, and our work is fast paced and provides excellent opportunities for variety, meaning no two days will be the same and there will always be an opportunity for challenge and development.

We manage a range of cases with varying complexity.

You will have the opportunity to be creative in your work, working with citizens to effectively problem solve and maintain control over their lives and support.

You will be working within the statutory structure of the Care Act 2014 undertaking, Care Act Assessments, Carers Assessments, Mental Capacity Assessments and Best Interest Assessments.

The team are also responsible for carrying out s42 Safeguarding Enquires.

You will work closely with other agencies and departments across adult care.

You will work within a team of Team Manager, Senior Practitioners, Social Workers and Social Care Practitioners and will receive guidance and support from your colleagues to further develop your skills, knowledge and confidence in this fulfilling role alongside professional supervision.

Join us and you'll receive an excellent rewards package including flexible working and flexitime, membership of the Local Government Pension scheme, and a generous annual leave allowance.

In addition, you'll be working in a supportive environment where you'll have the chance to make Bristol a better place and contribute to its future.
