We are recruiting for an experienced HR & Office Manager to join a friendly, well-established company based on the outskirts of St Albans.

If you have a solid HR and Office Management background, wth experience in Facilities Management and Construction, enjoy a varied role and have excellent organisation and communication skills, this is a great position within a company that continues to expand

Due to the location, you will need to be a driver with your own vehicle.

Key Responsibilities:


HR Responsibilities - Oversee all aspects of recruitment and onboarding

  • Advertising or liaising with Recruitment Companies to fill job vacancies
  • Sending offer letters and employment contracts
  • Completing the onboarding process, including all relevant paperwork, equipment, workstations and communications to the wider team
  • Organising 1st day inductions
  • Overseeing and supporting employees and departments with timesheet queries, holiday requests, payroll issues
  • Collating paperwork for reviews and appraisals
  • Arranging exit interviews and paperwork for leavers
  • Working with our HR Consultants for investigations and disciplinaries

Office Manager Responsibilities - Ensure the smooth running of the Office and Facilities

  • Point of contact for all Office and IT issues
  • Instructing IT and Mobile phone providers of any changes or requests
  • Working alongside individual departments to ensure the smooth running of everyday tasks
  • Arranging Specialists and inhouse engineers to carry out maintenance tasks
  • Overseeing Fleet management

What the employer is looking for:

  • 4+ years in a similar HR/ Office manager role
  • Strong communication and organizational kills
  • A good listener who is adaptable and great at multitasking
  • Personable and adept at building strong relationships
  • Experience from a construction or health and safety background would be a bonus
