Lead Business Analyst

Duration: 9 months, extensions likely

Location:
Edinburgh (1-2 days in office)

Pay Rate:
Circa £500 inside IR35
We are happy to be recruiting for one of our high-profile banking clients based in Edinburgh.

They are currently looking for a Lead Business Analyst within the Cash Management and Payments Platform team specifically supporting a Regulatory driven change, ona 9-month contract based from home, with one to two days per week requirement in the Edinburgh office.

  • Ability to understand and translate complex problems (often without requiring guidance), and deliver & communicate simple solutions for the customer
  • The ability to facilitate efficient & effective decision making, validate designs & solutions and ensure all parties feel understood and satisfied with your outputs
  • Experience (preferred) of working within an agile project team, contributing to the delivery through ownership of specific tasks
  • Support the Project Manager to understand business problems, critically evaluating business ideas from a customer and a commercial point of view. Identify underlying business needs to be addressed, challenge existing practices and ensure requirements willaddress the defined business problem.
  • Help to define scope and elicit requirements; write User Stories and Acceptance Criteria, challenge business stakeholders to drive out the real business outcomes that are required to realise the customer and business propositions; not simply recording requirements.
  • Identifies shortcomings in existing processes, systems, and procedures, then uses established change management programmes to deliver prescribed outcomes and/or provide support services.
  • Coordinates end to end traceability against quality business requirements using appropriate tools and templates.
  • Engages with key stakeholders to influence the solution design to meet business goals, scope, and strategy requirements for the purpose of optimizing business results. Provides input into the identification and delivery of project benefits, traceabilityof requirements and impact of solutions.
  • Maintain internal and external networks to source data and information to enable timely recommendations and advice.

About You:

  • You will seek out and consider the voice of the customer when defining the scope and business needs and objectives.
  • You will possess core strengths in agile development methods and tooling e.g., Scrum, Kanban, Jira, and Confluence, ideally with experience of being part of an agile team.
  • A flexible approach, open to learning new skills.
