Procurement Leader - Continuous Improvement


Location:

Salary:
£43,373+ depending on skills and experience


What you'll be doing:


  • Leading Continuous Improvement Activity for Supply Chain through the development and delivery of the Continuous Improvement Strategy and Plan
  • Developing Functional Capability through Training, Coaching and Mentorship in Tools, Techniques and best practice
  • Be a recognised functional Subject Matter Expert
  • Managing coordination and delivery of Functional Improvement plan
  • Providing business as usual, Continuous Improvement services to the function as recognized and qualified Subject Matter Expert (SME) as per functional need
  • Embedding Continuous Improvement Capability throughout Supply Chain through standardization of best practice and deployment of Improvement Programme
  • Developing and delivering training to ensure Supply Chain personnel are capable and confident to undertake ongoing Improvement activity
  • Providing coaching and mentorship to support others in developing Continuous Improvement skill and understanding
  • Conducting, analysing and providing/delivering executive summaries, reports and presentations when required
  • Supporting Supply Chain Managers and Senior Supply Chain Managers in the delivery of wider Supply Chain Transformation objectives
  • Leading/chairing relevant meetings and teams

Your skills and experiences:

Essential

  • Proven experience of supply chain excellence utilising project management methodologies and continuous improvement
  • Understanding of operational planning
  • Proven experience working improvement on a major project
  • SAP experience is desirable

Desirable:

  • Lean & Six Sigma knowledge/experience

The Supply Chain team:


Working as part of the Supply Chain function, alongside the Procurement team, you will be aligned to a UK based supplier for a period to support improvement.

Once the improvement has been implemented successfully you will then move to support an alternative supplier.
