SEND Transformation Lead

Location:
Bromley, London

Contract: 3-month contract, hybrid (2 days a week in office)

Rate:
£500/day

Job Purpose:

Lead the development and implementation of a strategic plan for SEND transformation, aligned with national and local priorities.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to prepare and submit a Self Evaluation Form (SEF) for Area SEND inspection, providing evidence of the effectiveness and impact of SEND provision and initiatives.
Identify areas for improvement and innovation in SEND provision, ensuring services are inclusive, accessible, and of high quality.
Provide expert advice and guidance to senior leaders, elected members, and partner organisations on SEND legislation, policy, and best practice.
Drive initiatives to improve identification, assessment, and support for children and young people with SEND, promoting early intervention and prevention strategies.
Monitor and evaluate the impact of SEND transformation initiatives, using data and evidence to inform decisionmaking and continuous improvement requirements.

Requirements:

Substantial experience working within the field of SEND, preferably within a local government or education setting.
Experience preparing for or leading an Ofsted/CQC Area SEND inspection.
Familiarity with Ofsted and CQC inspection frameworks and requirements, particularly in relation to SEND provision.
Demonstrable track record of leading and delivering transformational change initiatives, with a focus on improving outcomes for children and young people with SEND.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders and build positive relationships.
Highly developed analytical and problemsolving skills, with the ability to use data and evidence to drive decisionmaking and evaluate the impact of interventions.
