SEND Transformation Lead


Location:
Bromley, London


Contract: 3-month contract, hybrid (2 days a week in office)


Rate:
£500/day


Job Purpose:


  • Lead the development and implementation of a strategic plan for SEND transformation, aligned with national and local priorities.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to prepare and submit a Self Evaluation Form (SEF) for Area SEND inspection, providing evidence of the effectiveness and impact of SEND provision and initiatives.
  • Identify areas for improvement and innovation in SEND provision, ensuring services are inclusive, accessible, and of high quality.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to senior leaders, elected members, and partner organisations on SEND legislation, policy, and best practice.
  • Drive initiatives to improve identification, assessment, and support for children and young people with SEND, promoting early intervention and prevention strategies.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of SEND transformation initiatives, using data and evidence to inform decisionmaking and continuous improvement requirements.

Requirements:


  • Substantial experience working within the field of SEND, preferably within a local government or education setting.
  • Experience preparing for or leading an Ofsted/CQC Area SEND inspection.
  • Familiarity with Ofsted and CQC inspection frameworks and requirements, particularly in relation to SEND provision.
  • Demonstrable track record of leading and delivering transformational change initiatives, with a focus on improving outcomes for children and young people with SEND.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders and build positive relationships.
  • Highly developed analytical and problemsolving skills, with the ability to use data and evidence to drive decisionmaking and evaluate the impact of interventions.
