Head of Talent Acquisition
Construction Scale Up
East London/Hybrid
£80-100K
Responsibilities:
- Takes ownership for attraction, sourcing, interviewing, and hiring activities in a competitive, headcountconstrained industry.
- Proactively identify and address hiring needs with hiring managers and leaders to provide talent succession plans and sourcing strategies.
- Promotes the company's reputation as "best place to work" and ensures managers are living and communicating their EVP.
- Strategic lead on Apprenticeship and graduates coaching and managing the Early Careers Manager.
- Collaborate and deliver Social Value plans in conjunction with Sustainability and Project leads.
- Plans, creates, shapes, delivers and measures the company's attraction activities, recruitment activities and success while ensuring they present themself to the world appropriately.
- Creates and presents resourcing KPI's monthly. Using data evidence to shape improvements and measure strategic and operational success.
- Collaborates with the Head of Communication on employer branding, leading, and delivering employer branding initiatives.
- Procure and implement an ATS.
- Recruit leadership and management roles.
- Upskills hiring managers who are keen to learn but need guidance and direction so knows and imparts recruitment best practice across the business.
- Monitors and applies recruiting best practices.
- Managing a recruitment budget.
Experience:
- You'll have a background in construction with experience of early careers talent management and social value.
- You'll be used to managing a diverse workload and prioritising and shaping activities to get things done in a meaningful and planful way.
- You'll be used to working with managers at all levels of the organisation, knowing their time is precious and you're there to advise on key talent acquisition activities.
- You'll need to handle people brilliantly, collaborative, values led.
- Be able to deliver in a challenging environment.
- Stand your ground and be resilient they're building the business so helping managers and colleagues understand their role in making this a great place to work and our early careers programmes successful, is important.
- Work fast, smart, and hard and have a load of fun while doing it. You'll be working with people who really care about what we do and who want to make a difference.
- Highly numerate, delivery focused with strong attention to detail.
- Able to interpret data to tell a story and facilitate decision making/change.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to deliver communication in the appropriate manner to the target audience.
- Process and detailoriented to drive improvement in how they do things.
- The ability to work independently whilst also supporting and drawing on resources across the wider department.
- Excellent IT skills especially ATS experience
- Practical and proactive approach to problem solving.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage a busy workload.
- Able to maintain confidentiality.
- Experience of apprenticeship, graduate, or other early talent development programmes
- The confidence and ability to represent the organisation at careers fairs
