Job description

  • The School of Arts, English and Languages (AEL) at Queen's University Belfast, is currently seeking to recruit a talented Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Film Practice.
  • You will undertake research in line with the School's research strategy, to teach at undergraduate and postgraduate level, and to contribute to School administration/outreach activity.
  • Completed or nearly completed a PhD in Film/Screen Media; or postgraduate qualification in Film Practice; or equivalent professional experience and international profile.
  • Relevant teaching experience to at least degree level in documentary filmmaking practice.
  • Ability to teach a core range of film production and technical skills such as cinematography and postproduction.
  • Evidence of ability to supervise film practice research at UG and PG level.
  • A record of recent publications of internationally excellent research and/or practice research outputs in Film/Screen Media appropriate to career stage.
