The Contract Monitoring team are a part of the Contract, Governance and Compliance department working on behalf of the Estates and Facilities directorate across Nottinghamshire and neighbouring counties.

The team manageand monitor Estates and Facilities services across the Trusts third party hosted properties through the management of commercial contracts and service level agreements for both Hard and Soft FM services.


Duties of the role include:

  • Acting as the primary point of contact and responsible person in relation to Estates and Facilities services delivered by parties external to the Trust Develop, maintain, and deliver auditing and monitoring programmes to evaluate performance and ensure contracts and services Develop and maintain working relationships with third parties, NHS partnership organisations and Trust staff at an operational and management level ensuring effective communication. Discuss and negotiate with third parties, NHS partnership organisations and Trust staff at varying levels on matters of change to service requirements, scope, delivery, and associated costs, considering life expectancy of buildings and equipment and with reference to the contractual documentation.


Be responsible for the review and authorisation of invoices for respective services, ensuring financial obligations are met and that all invoices/claims are substantiated.

Prepare and issue both regular and ad-hoc reports on monitoring, audit delivery and contract performance based on a complex range of information such as KPIs, including the identification of issues and action plans for remediation.
