Housing Officer


An exciting opportunity has arisen for a remote Housing Officer covering Yeovil, Salisbury, and Bournemouth areas with a lovely run Housing Association.


Competitive salary starting from £27,231 plus mileage and expenses allowance.


The main purpose of the role is to deliver a high quality, specialist, supportive, intensive housing management service that is responsive and sensitive to tenants needs.

To ensure that existing and potential tenants are supported so they can maintain their tenancy and independence.

The role holder will be responsible for continuously aiming to provide the best possible tenant experience and being the 'face' in the community.


You will be managing 34 (approx.) specialists supported housing schemes with around 130 (approx.) tenancies in the Torquay, Bournemouth, Southampton, and surrounding areas.

You will deal with breaches of tenancy, service level contract monitoring, referrals to our accommodation from local authorities and commissioners.

Housing benefit and welfare benefits support. Working closely with support/care providers social services and other related agencies. Home based with access to a car and regular travel to schemes is essential.


Requirements:


  • Local Authority / Housing Association experience is desirable
  • Supported/general needs housing management experience.
  • Must have access to a car and hold a valid driving license
