Lower Johnshill Care Home in Lesmahagow, Lanark are currently seeking a care assistant to work full or part time hours on a permanent basis.


Lower Johnshill Care Home is set within the stunning Auchlochan Garden Village near Lesmahagow, Lanarkshire, delivering around-the-clock personalised residential, nursing and dementia care.

With beautiful views of the 50-acre garden village estate, a highly trained care team and our very own beauty room.


  • Be able to work on your own initiative and part of a team
  • Be caring and compassionate
  • SVQ Level 2 in Care (desirable but not necessary)
  • Have a genuine interest in care

Responsibilities:


  • Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
  • Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as laundry and tidying up
  • Escort clients to appointments or social outings
  • Monitor and report any changes in client's condition to the supervisor

Experience:


  • Previous experience as a care assistant or in a similar role is preferred
  • Knowledge of basic caregiving techniques and procedures
  • Familiarity with safety precautions and infection control measures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations
  • Compassionate and patient demeanor
