    We are seeking an experienced Information Security Analyst to join our security team based at our office in Brackmills Business Park, Northamptonshire.

    This role offers an opportunity to represent information security, interpret technical design and apply information security best practices.

    This is a permanent position requiring at least 3 days on-site work and 2 days remote work.

    Main Responsibilities:

    • Establish and monitor the corporate information security policy, standards, procedures, guidelines, internal controls, and business continuity to ensure Howdens Business Information protection.
    • Provide technical project support representing information security.
    • Play an active role in incident management activities.
    • Support the PMO (Project Management Office) to ensure appropriate security assessment within projects and oversee supplier compliance for Cyber Security.
    • Lead incident management investigations and conduct risk and vulnerability assessments where necessary.
    • Conduct risk and vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate security risks.
    • Engage with IT projects for security reviews and ensure findings are communicated and added to relevant logs.
    • Collaborate with external organizations working with Howdens to maintain Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability of Howdens information.

    Required Skills and Experience:

    • Technical Operations Security experience with governance or experience in a Security Governance role.
    • Ability to assess system controls based on documented standards.
    • Demonstrated problem analysis and resolution skills.
    • Strong communication skills to influence best practice at all levels of the organization.
    • Ability to build effective relationships to negotiate business outcomes.
    • Experience presenting findings to Senior Stakeholders.
    • Holding recognized Cyber Security qualification (CISA, CISMP, CISM or equivalent).
    • Knowledge of industry-related frameworks such as ISO27001, PCI DSS.
