SEN TA Teaching Assistant

£500 PAYE Per Week

Autism / ASC, Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)

Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 4pm

Do you have a passion and talent for supporting children and young people with special educational needs, including Autism?

I work with an excellent special needs school in the London Borough of Hounslow. I am looking for a passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to start long-term to permanent roles as early as possible


This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual looking to gain practical and clinical experience working with all age groups students, 1:1 and in group settings.


Responsibilities of the SEN TA Teaching Assistant

  • Your role as a Teaching Assistant will be to support students with special educational needs; however, the role will vary from day to day; you will be expected to use your initiative and respond calmly in challenging situations
  • For aspiring Teachers, Pastoral Workers, Child Psychologists, Educational Psychologists, Clinical Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, SALTs, Counsellors, and Social Workers, these positions will offer a relevant and vital experience for your chosen career path

The Ideal SEN TA Teaching Assistant

  • Experienced supporting children with Autism ASD (verbal & nonverbal) and SLD
  • Educated to degree level
  • Passion for working with young people who require additional support in order to access education and social development
  • Ideally, previous experience (formal or informal) supporting children with Autism or other special educational needs
  • A proactive, positive individual who always strives to meet children's learning needs.
  • Ability to build rapport with children
