The Opportunity:

Due to internal promotion, we have an opportunity to join our 9-strong Treasury, Transactions & Governance (TTG) Team as an
Accounts Payable Clerk (known internally as Transactions Team Support), based at our large aerospace manufacturing site in Filton, Bristol.

The TTG team provide finance support to our 7 UK sites, and this role is specifically focussed on supporting the Accounts Payable function for Portsmouth, including transactions and various accounting reconciliations.

How You'll Contribute:

In this busy role, you will

Ensure the accuracy of the A/P ledgers, process supplier invoices in a timely and accurate manner, prepare supplier payments, deal with queries effectively and efficiently and maintain compliance with processes and procedures.
Manually process supplier invoices through SAP in an accurate and timely manner
Manage overdue invoices on supplier accounts to ensure invoices are paid in a timely manner
Complete regular vendor statement reconciliations
Maintain vendor master details, specifically ensuring bank details are kept up to date for payment
Be involved in the transition of the current manual invoice posting and query resolution process to a new robotic automated solution focussing on continuous improvement to gain efficiencies in invoice processing
Have the opportunity to get involved in wider duties at times, such as supporting other sites from an accounts payable perspective

Essential

High level of numeracy and a grounding in accounting / bookkeeping either through experience or relevant qualification
Ability to communicate across functions and at all levels

Desirable

Experience of working within a fast paced manufacturing business
