We are hiring for a Team Leader who will provide support to management within designated area(s), As a Team Leader you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation within the distribution centre, to achieve a safe and efficient operation.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Daily performance management of your team and handson leadership approach, that provides positive encouragement and guidance by coaching and motivating and giving direction.
- Role model effective and respectful working behaviours.
- Surpass Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) and champion a high level of customer service.
- Drive maximum attendance levels and manage time & attendance in accordance with EVCGF policy and procedure.
- Carry out leadership responsibilities in accordance with EVCGF policies and procedures.
- Ensure team members have adequate and correct training in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures and safe work practices.
- Ensure your team(s) meets expectations in terms of quality and output.
- Monitor team member performance and completion of tasks against objectives.
- Ensure your team(s) process all inbound, outbound and pick movements through the warehouse management system.
- Use own initiative to identify and solve problems, and proactively implement a solution.
- Identify system or process improvements and make recommendations for change.
- Communicate with team(s) on a regular basis to make them aware of priorities, targets, progress and operational requirements.
- Address challenges and constraints effectively and ensure that all nonconformances are challenged, and that countermeasures are agreed and implemented.
Essential Requirements:
- Significant experience of working for a 3PL in a shareduser facility.
- Evidence of leading teams.
- Continuous improvement mindset.
- Resource planning.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Handson approach.
- Health and Safety focussed.
- WMS, Outlook and MS Office knowledge.
- Effective time management skills.
Ideal Requirement (in addition to essential requirements)
- Experience of LEAN, Six Sigma or 5S practices.
