Hours: Monday
  • Friday, standard office working hours 09:00 17:00, flexi hours also available. My client would also consider someone who would prefer part time hours, around 20 per week. This would be on a pro rata salary basis

Due to rural workplace location it is essential to be a driver and have your own transport. Plenty of free parking available on site.


We are delighted to be working alongside our very established and reputable client as they seek to recruit a full time (or part time), permanent Accounts Assistant to join their friendly, supportive and busy team based on the outskirts of Uckfield.

The role

:

This role involves supporting the Accounts Department to deliver high quality customer service in a timely fashion.


The core function is to assist with the accounts administration, using the company database and accounting system, performing financial tasks as directed by the accounts department.

You will communicate directly with colleagues and customers and be integral to the smooth operation of the department.


Main duties to include

:


  • To perform financial tasks as directed by the accounts department.
  • Inputting of financial data into ledgers in the accounting system and company CRM system
  • Performing general accounts administration duties
  • Assist in the administration and operation of contracts, such as company cars, some building services and insurances, renewals and claims
  • To assist in receiving incoming telephone calls, logging and transferring to an appropriate member of staff within the company
  • To assist the Managing Director with occasional adhoc administration tasks
  • Adhoc assistance / cover for other departments where appropriate

Skills, experience and competencies required

:


  • Wellmotivated and able to work in a small friendly team.
  • Willingness and ability to learn and grow in the role as experience is gained.
  • Good Computer skills using MS Windows and standard Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Selfmotivated, able to work unsupervised when management is away from the office.
  • Experience of using an accounts software package
