Description

We're AluK, a global leader in the design and engineering of aluminium window, door and curtain walling systems and, with over 60 years of experience operating across the globe, you'll find our façade systems on many of the world's most advanced and prestigious buildings.


Position:


We are embarking on an exciting project to upgrade our ERP system to SAP and we are looking for an experienced and talented buyer to support the team whilst they work on implementation activities.

As an experienced buyer, you will be primarily focused on operational activities including:

  • New Product Development_
  • Working alongside the product management and R&D teams to assist in the sourcing of new products and the data management of the ERP system
  • Action RFQ requests to source new products from our supply chain.
  • Procurement_
  • Collate data on supplier performance to assist with supplier reviews.
  • Assist on supplier negotiations optimizing cost through supplier and product reviews.
  • Adhere to supplier contracts ensuring all contract commitments are managed.
  • General procurement activities for all site Maintenance, Repair and Operations (MRO) requirements.
  • Procurement Improvements and Strategy_
  • Maintenance of ERP system data; costs, lead times and supplier MOQ.
  • Cost update actions and supplier data maintenance
  • Collate and supply data to the local and global procurement teams.

Requirements:


As a highly collaborative skilled communicator you'll thrive at building, maintaining and influencing relationships and partnerships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.


Ideally, you'll have already gained a relevant professional qualification (CIPS), or as a minimum be competent in articulating your knowledge of key supply chain principles and methodologies.

If you've worked with SAP MRP well that's a bonus


You'll need to travel as part of your role (national), so you'll need a full UK driving license or ability to independently travel.


Other information:


Salary £40,000 pa


Fixed Term Contract - 6 months with potential to be extended.
