Production Support Operator

The Ian Mosey Group is a reputable family owned and operated business based in Coulton, located between Thirsk and Malton, North Yorkshire.

The principal activity of Ian Mosey (Feed) Ltd, one of the subsidiary companies is manufacturing animal feed, from its mill based in Coulton, and delivering the feed using its own fleet of HGV vehicles to farms across the North of England.

The Role:

We are currently recruiting a full-time Production Support Operator to help deliver exceptional efficiency and feed safety standards at our feed mill.

It is a key support role, you will be responsible for all aspects of manual hand weighing of micro ingredients, ensuring the production plan is fully achieved on time.

You will as part of a multifunctional team clean and maintain all hygiene and housekeeping standards within the mill, stores and surrounding areas on site.

You will ensure all tasks are carried out in compliance with internal and regulatory health, safety, environment, feed safety and cost standards and complete verification of standards.

The Person:

Hold a full UK car driving licence
Ability to follow the required feed safety, hygiene & housekeeping and safety, health & environment standards
Reliable, selfmotivated, with a 'cando' attitude
Ability to work in a practical, handson environment
Methodical and accurate
Communication skills
Ability to work well as part of a team and unsupervised
Basic IT skills
FLT, telescopic boom, electric pallet truck licence
Pressure washing and strimming experience
Experience of working in a heavy plant/production environment
Knowledge of COSHH
Industrial cleaning experience

The role is based 10 miles from Malton and is commutable from York, Malton, Thirsk, Helmsley, Pickering and other surrounding villages.

Due to the location, own transport is essential
