The role:


Responsible for owning the forecasting activities associated with customers and products, creating, and maintaining forecast models for our business, incorporating business intelligence, and forecast information gathered from sales, marketing, finance, retailer replenishment analysts and other sources.

To ensure accurate as possible demand planning forecasts that deliver the financial targets in an effective and efficient manner.


What you'll do:


  • Analyse past performance considering SFD, Bias & stability both at ref and or aggregated levels, monitoring and communicates the reliability of sales forecasting with all relevant key stakeholders within the UK.
  • Update forward forecasts on a rolling 18month horizon for all Retail and POP reference using group's statistical models, creating scenarios, and arbitrating the best fit taking in to account local marketing plan and supply issues.
  • Reconcile forecasts proposals against budget highlighting inconsistences and gaining validation via Supply & Demand meeting.
  • Responsible for managing and maintaining an accurate and clean product master data file including accurate life cycles and lifestyles, new product evolution, end of line, ABC forecast stability and sales class plus all relevant bespoke local activity such as but not limited to kit BOM, promo codes & promotional items.
  • Work in collaboration with marketing and sales and finance on an ongoing basis, prepare, develop, influence, and defend the proposals of sales forecasts at the appropriate regular meetings with key stakeholders, influencing actions to fast and slow selling lines and updating forecasts as appropriate.
  • Prepare the supporting documentation necessary for the Supply & Demand Manager to propose implementation of corrective actions in case of deviation results during collaborative monthly Demand Review Committees.
  • Liaising with Distribution and the Supply on product, stock, and supplier issues.
  • Provide awareness training to key stakeholders on demand planning activities.

You have:


  • 5 years + proven experience in demand planning role
  • Proficient in Excel & Demand Planning System
  • APICS or other forecasting certification preferred.
  • Proficiency in statistics, forecasting and forecasting methods with an understanding of their financial and operational impacts.
  • Knowledge of SAP/APO/M3/JDE, Manugistics or Oracle Demand Planning or other software packages including Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • Proven capability to analyse and synthesize data.
  • Strong negotiation, decision making and presentation skills.
  • Highly organized with strong timemanagement and attention to detail is a must.
