Description
You will help to deliver the design and implementation of environmental sustainability across the University community
- students, staff, partners to establish the University of Liverpool as a leading global institution for excellence in environmental sustainability. You will help to establish and deliver plans, projects and innovation opportunities to deliver environmental sustainability ambitions incorporating Net Zero Carbon by 2035, Biodiversity, Circular Economy and Responsible Consumption and Sustainable Travel and Transport and embedding this across the University.
  • You will be responsible to the Head of Energy Services and Environmental Sustainability.
  • You will develop collaborative working relationships to encourage effective communities of practice on environmental sustainability. You will help shape, develop and deliver the environmental sustainability ambitions derived from the University strategies and plans. This includes supporting programmes of change through formulating and embedding key principles, objectives and targets into campus operations and development activity.
  • You will be passionate about sustainability, have strong research and administration skills, be able to constructively manage stakeholder relationships, and have a positive, cando attitude.
  • You should have a degree (or equivalent qualification or relevant professional experience).
  • The FRCS teams have a key role to play in managing and maintaining the university environment, buildings and engineering infrastructure to support the academic and research departments, professional services and residential accommodation. The diverse estate includes many listed buildings from Georgian and Victorian periods as well as contemporary buildings and conservation areas coupled with the complex research laboratories.
