What does the role look like?
We're on the lookout for a dynamic Maintenance & Facilities lead to join our team in Banbury.


This position reports to the Site Lead and you will join our Composites Value Stream where you'll play a pivotal role in identifying, planning and coordinating all on site maintenance activities to ensure efficient operation of all plant, machinery and building services.

You'll support & coach a team of highly skilled Maintenance professionals & offer you expertise to the site. You'll help identify issues & put in preventative measures to support our Operation.


What will your day-to-day responsibilities look like?

  • Further enhance & evolve our Planned Maintenance Schedule
  • Coach & mentor a team of highly skilled Engineers.
  • Be responsible for ensuring we hold the correct level of Critical Spares
  • Hold & be responsible for the Capex & Maintenance budget
  • Service and maintain the existing plant equipment and building facilities
  • Manage new equipment installation and modification
  • Manage safety system installations and improvements
  • Ensure calibration of various equipment and machinery
  • Support movement or reorganisation of production lines
  • Install services to support new equipment or processes
  • Assist with implementation of changes to manufacturing processes
  • Lead any other activities requiring practical engineering support in their implementation
  • Produce work instructions for specific job tasks
  • Complete work orders for all works undertaken
  • Work with machine controls (PLC etc.), pneumatic or hydraulic systems

  • Previous experience leading & developing high performing teams
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Fantastic Engineering problem solving skills

Desirable skills:


  • The ability and the capacity to understand a wide range of engineering functions and procedures for the relevant technology
  • The ability to work cooperatively and liaise with people at all levels
  • Good technical engineering skills and good practical skills, with a common sense approach
  • Able to demonstrate strong independent working skills across Mechanical and Electrical disciplines
  • Problem solving techniques and ability to work on own initiative. (Logical and systematic approach)
  • Experience working in a similar role, possibly from a maintenance or engineering technician background
  • The ability to prioritise breakdowns to reduce downtime throughout the factory
  • A fast paced and enthusiastic and confident work ethic, whilst maintaining composure under pressure
  • The desire and motivation to improve the department and facility
