The Growth Company's Employment Yorkshire Personal Wellbeing team have an exciting opportunity for a Key Worker - Wellbeing who will deliver a range of guidance and training services for customers under the supervision of National Probation Service, contribute to individuals' sustained improvement in health & wellbeing.

This role will be based in Sheffield but will also cover the South Yorkshire region.


We help to make a lasting difference to the lives of people throughout the North of England and beyond, by supporting individuals to gain meaningful employment.

Our highly skilled advisers and keyworkers work with a range of individuals; from people who have found themselves recently out of work, to those with complex barriers such as physical disabilities, mental ill-health and debt.


Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure service users receive a personalised Wellbeing offer that meets individual needs/levels of complexity
  • Manage a wide range of service users, by caseload, to achieve targets
  • Deliver Comprehensive Assessments, including screening for LDD
  • Identify, develop and maintain effective relationships with key local services to support service users, including signposting, case conferencing
  • Deliver support to service users via appropriate channels, including digital, group workshops and facetoface sessions
  • Produce highquality service user action plans
  • Plan, deliver and evaluate group sessions for service users
  • Ensure Wellbeing contract compliance
  • Take part in observations, assess own delivery, and act on feedback, including undertaking CPD

About you

  • Recent experience of delivering personal wellbeing progressions and outcomes, particularly I Criminal Justice setting
  • Experience of managing a caseload of service users, to support them with improving their wellbeing
  • Detailed knowledge of the local health and wellbeing support landscape (statutory and community)
  • Understanding of the quality issues relating to delivery in Justice setting

Skills Required:


  • Ability to work in a targetdriven environment, with a focus on the successful achievement of outcomes
  • Ability to deliver onetoone and group sessions
  • Able to use digital channels and platforms in service delivery
  • Ability to undertake supervision and observations desirable, although training provided
  • Strong interpersonal skills service user contact, team and partnership working
  • Hold Substance Misuse Awareness Level 3 and Counselling Skills for Health Professionals
  • ACEtrained and motivational Interviewing
  • Assetbased Community Development
  • Mental Health First Aid and Suicide Awareness/Prevention
  • Working with victims and perpetrators of Domestic Abuse
  • Expert knowledge of benefits system and use of ITEP/Node-Link mapping as behaviour change tool
