We are looking for a Project Support Officer to join our team of PMO professionals, where you will support the delivery of best practice project controls and develop your project knowledge and experience as part of shaping your future within PMO.


You will report to senior PMO professionals, who will provide guidance and direction on the day-to-day support that this role will deliver to our projects.

What you'll be doing:


  • Facilitate project reporting cadence, ensuring inputs are requested in a timely manner and are consolidated with consistent formatting, ready for review and approvals ahead of presentation.
  • Support capture of actions and decisions from key project governance sessions, ensuring they are logged accordingly and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that any risks or issues are being captured within the required logs with the necessary fields completed.
  • Provide guidance on the correct templates that are required by the project based on Capita Methodology.
  • Support the maintenance of collaborative spaces, ensuring that accesses are kept up to date (i.e., SharePoint/Teams)
  • Track the review and approval of products for the project ensuring they are logged and stored accordingly.
  • Manage the PMO mailbox, ensuring requests are acknowledged and actioned in a timely manner.

What we're looking for:


  • Prior experience in a project environment is desired but not necessarily essential you will however be able to demonstrate transferable skills that are pertinent to the role.
  • MS suite experience, particularly in PowerPoint, Word and Excel where you will be proficient in using the base functions to provide consistently formatted outputs.
  • Good stakeholder management skills you will be confident in striking up 121 conversations and be able to facilitate sessions with a small audience.
  • A desire for challenge, proactively building a network and working with peers in support of developing knowledge and skills.
  • This is a homebased role but you will need to have flexibility to travel on an ad hoc basis. There are no regular travel commitments required.

_It will be necessary for you to either have Security Clearance or be able to obtain Security Clearance whilst employed in this role. To meet the necessary clearance criteria, you will need to have been resident in the UK for a minimum of 5 years _
