Payroll and HRIS Manager, 12 month FTC - Further Education - London with hybrid working
This is an exciting time to join a top performing Further Education College.
Reporting into the Director of Human Resources and Organisational Development you will be responsible for delivering, overseeing and holding full responsibility for all payroll processes and for implementing a new HRIS system


Your key accountabilities willinclude:

  • Ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of the payroll service, including oversight of the delivery of the monthly payroll cycle and line management of the HRIS and payroll team
  • Calculating and processing payments for all staff, new employees and leavers
  • Liaising with Finance to ensure that all accounting for payroll and pensions is complete
  • Providing payroll and system project support on any TUPEs, mergers, or acquisitions
  • Taking the lead on the implementation and development of the HR system
  • Providing relevant training on the HR system
  • Providing expert advice to internal stakeholders on any proposed changes to the data structures within HRIS database
  • Ensuring that accurate management reports are provided on a timely basis
You should have a track record of managing a monthly payroll and public sector pension schemes. Experience of implementing a new HR system needs to be combined with experience of developing and delivering training. Excellent numerical and analytical skillsare essential. You also need experience of developing reports and providing management information. Ideally you will have experience of using iTrent and/or Cascade.
