The Best Connection specialises in supplying flexible workforce solution to the industrial, driving, warehouse, distribution & logistics, construction, retail, food & healthcare sectors throughout the UK.
We are currently recruiting for an individual for the role of
Operations Team Leader based in Lockerbie, Scotland.


Salary is based upon experience of the individual and will be discuss throughout the hiring process. (Between £25-£30)


Key Responsibilities:


  • To ensure timely production and shipping of products in line with company's targets.
  • Oversee team's operations and performance on a daily basis.
  • Discover Training needs and provide coaching to train team members enabling a multiskilled workforce.
  • Complete and deliver regular performance evaluations
  • Supervise the daily activities of the team and delegate tasks effectively
  • Participate in plant improvement projects
  • Promote HSE standards within the factory
  • Use of Microsoft Office
  • Have Knowledge of ERP Systems
  • Preferred experience in Chemical Industry
  • Experience in leading skilled teams
  • Ability to make continual improvements or lean manufacturing experience preferable
This role will lead to a permanent role following a successful trial period.


Benefits & Requirements:


  • Hourly rate as above (not age dependent)
  • 28 days Paid Annual Leave prorata for PAYE (inclusive of statutory holiday)
