Our client is proud to be a British company using sustainable, British timber. With the majority of the timber used being grown and felled from managed UK forests across Scotland.

We are recruiting on their behalf for an experienced Production Operative in their Mill to join their team located Kidderminster.

Our client's purpose is to make Britain a nation proud of its gardens.

It's important that our client can offer high quality traditional products like fence panels and sheds, as well as investing in technology to ensure product consistency.

Our Client's traditional products are also designed to be of superior quality and typically have a range of extra security features and higher eaves than the majority of alternative products on the market.

Main duties:
The production operative will carry out those support duties associated with the running of the Rounding

Mill and PROBST - Support the Team Leader and Mill Manager in the safe operation of the Rounding Mill and

PROBST 2 Line

Work to the Rounding Mill and PROBST 2 Safe System of Works (SSOW) guidelines
Ensure all Mandatory PPE is worn
Support the Team Leader and Mill Manager in ensuring the performance of the mill is

maximised

Support the Team Leader and Mill Manager in delivering the Operational daily targets
Support the Team Leader and Mill Manager in ensuring all Health and Safety inspections

assigned to the Rounding Mill and PROBST 2 are completed

Support the Team Leader and Mill Manager in ensuring all Planned Preventative

Maintenance schedules are completed

Report as required any Health and Safety issues through the appropriate communication

channels

Ensure the quality of the product produced is in line with the agreed standards Ensure the Mill housekeeping is maintained to the highest standard

Actively participate in and support for those process improvement initiatives
Maintain mandatory Training Qualifications relating to the specific job role
Attend as required Training courses identified to enhance job role

Desirable previous experience:
As a General Operative you will be actively encouraged within the Team to use your own

initiative, make effective decisions and judgments when required

Able to communicate effectively with ALL members of the Team
Able to actively participate and contribute to Daily Team Leader briefings
Able to actively Identify, communicate and assess opportunities for Operational Improvement.
Use IT tools if required and relevant to the role
Qualifications relevant to the role including mandatory and up skilling when required
Demonstrate the Company values and carry out any other duties as reasonably requested
A positive person who can take initiative where appropriate.

Your operating hours are:
November onwards: 40 hours a week - 6am to 4:30pm Monday to Thursday
