Thames Valley Utilities is seeking motivated individuals to join our growing team of commercial water meter readers in the Basingstoke area.

Our roles offer a flexible working aspect and the ability to control your own earnings.

They are suited to those who have their own vehicle, enjoy working outdoors, have excellent customer-facing skills, and have good local knowledge.


Thames Valley Utilities pay our meter readers per site visit, allowing our team members to earn significantly more than similar roles offering a fixed salary.

Our established meter readers typically make between £90 and £130 per day.


We never expect our meter readers to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, or bank holidays, but the option is there if you wish.

Requirements:


  • Use of own vehicle (car/van) with suitable insurance cover
  • Use of own mobile device
  • Great customer facing skills
  • DBS/Criminal checks (costs covered)
  • Experience preferred, but not essential


We are offering an initial 3 month contract with the option to extend to 12 months following a performance review after 1 month.
