ABOUT THE ROLE

Responsibilities include:
- editing and managing the creation of print and digital content
- managing reprint corrections
- proactively monitoring schedules and budgets for components of big projects and suggest solutions to keep projects on track
- building effective author and advisor relationships
- managing freelance editors and other external suppliers
- proactively gaining market insights to inform understanding of our customers

We operate a hybrid working policy that requires a minimum of 2 days per week in the Oxford office.


ABOUT YOU

Essential:

  • Background in a scientific discipline (gained through HE, FE, or work experience)
  • High levels of literacy and numeracy
  • Excellent IT skills with experience of Microsoft Office
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • The ability to problem solve and work on own initiative
  • An interest in educational publishing

Desirable:

  • Experience of teaching in the school types for which we produce resources
  • Experience of STEM educational publishing.
  • Experience using JavaScript and HTML
