Description

_Do you have a genuine interest in supporting people to rebuild their lives?_
We have an exciting opportunity for a new Resettlement Coordinator to join the Outreach & Resettlement Team in Ealing.

Our belief is that rough sleeping is an intrinsically harmful and dangerous activity both for the individual and for the wider community.

The Resettlement Team take referrals from the Outreach Team when clients make their first move away from the street, and support them to maintain temporary accommodation and move on to suitable longer-term options with robust and holistic case management.

Areas of support provided to Resettlement clients beyond housing are broad and varied but may include: support accessing immigration advice, ETE support, support to access physical and mental health services, support to access substance use services, support to engage with the criminal justice system.

In the Coordinator role you will support the Service Manager and oversee the day to day delivery and progress of the Ealing Resettlement team; and:

  • Oversee a small caseload of clients while supervising the case management of a team of 5 Resettlement Workers.
  • Build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders including the Local Authority, other homeless services and housing providers.
  • Have the opportunity to support the Service Manager in collating information for reporting to demonstrate the themes and issues the team face.
  • Work collaboratively and supportively alongside the Outreach Team to identify suitable referrals and pick up casework within suitable timeframes.

About you

  • The ability to manage complex behaviours and motivate staff and clients to achieve outcomes with a creative and person centred approach.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with others whilst managing your own time.
  • Above all we are looking for inspirational, committed individuals who have a genuine desire to support people to rebuild their lives.
