As an associate in the team, you'll work closely with a designated >£20m income portfolio from day one, managing their relationship with Lloyds and working with them as a trusted partner.

This will include working closely with clients and colleagues to originate, structure and execute products such as fund finance lending, hedging, capital markets issuance and transaction banking.


We're looking for someone with excellent drive, initiative, creativity, and resilience to be a strong and committed advocate to your clients and the Financial Sponsors team.


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting the Associate Directors and Relationship Directors in managing a designated portfolio of customer relationships.
  • Build and develop business leads and introductions in order to maximise business growth for the Group
  • Review customer proposals to best meet Group and customer requirements and find opportunities to develop further income and economic profit, recommending and implementing the appropriate solutions
  • Negotiate terms and conditions of credit facilities and services after consulting with all relevant parties and prepare proposals in order to seek approval for global credit exposure
  • Prepare and present responses to Requests for Proposal for new and existing business, liaising with other specialist providers as appropriate.
  • Ensure legal and other documentation is aligned with credit sanction, Bank and Regulatory policy in order to minimise risk
  • Prepare and monitor business plans for the portfolio in order to meet customer profitability requirements and business objectives
  • Undertake the annual renewal process for a designated customer base, liaising appropriately with the business partners, credit and risk
  • Monitor utilisation of facilities, taking care of excesses within your discretion, reporting other excess situations as appropriate.
  • Manage any changes to systems, processes and working practices to achieve operational improvement
  • Review management information and provide reports for senior management to monitor and control risk

Crucial skills:

  • Experience managing a portfolio of external client relationships
  • Excellent risk management skills

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience of interacting externally with highcalibre Private Markets clients such as Private Equity, Private Debt or Infrastructure funds.
  • Risk analysis of lending and hedging products preferably in relation to fund level financing.
