T Limited based on Ascot Drive Derby, are looking for a Finance Apprentice to join their team


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Processing incoming payments from various sources (BACS, PayPal, Klarna, Amex etc).
  • Cash and Bank Reconciliations.
  • Monitoring customer credit limits.
  • Contacting customers to secure payment of accounts.
  • Opening of new customer accounts including obtaining credit checks on potential new
- customers and existing customers.

  • Support the team with month end processes.
  • Assisting Purchase Ledger with invoice processing and resolving queries with suppliers and staff
  • Ensuring prompt processing of invoices and payments to ensure smooth flow of purchases.
  • Assisting with incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Other ad hoc duties within the Finance Team as and when required.

Training


The apprentice will be enrolled on the Level 3 Assistant Accountant apprenticeship standard, which includes 6 AAT exams, in addition to the Synoptic Assessment as part of the End-Point Assessment(EPA) process.


The knowledge units will be delivered at the EMA training hub in Derby or Nottingham (depending on apprentices location) through day release.


AAT Modules are as follows:

  • Bookkeeping Transactions (L2 Unit)
  • Bookkeeping Controls (L2 Unit)
  • Advanced Bookkeeping
  • Final Accounts Preparation
  • Management Accounting: Costing
  • Indirect Tax

Career Progression

  • The potential to secure a more senior role with additional responsibilities
  • The possibility to secure a fulltime role upon completion of the apprenticeship
  • The opportunity to progress onto a level 4 accountancy apprenticeship upon completion of the level 3

Job Types:

Salary:
£12,000.00-£14,000.00 per year
