7am to 2pm over five days out of seven
Overview of the Role
Working as part of the busy Housekeeping team, Scouts are responsible for carrying out a range of cleaning duties. Areas to be covered include student and guest accommodation, offices, workrooms, libraries and public areas.
Main Duties
- Maintain allocated areas in a clean, hygienic and safe condition. These areas include student bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, toilets, shower areas, corridors, offices, libraries and other educational centres
- Ensure safe use of cleaning equipment and materials, in accordance with COSHH regulations for which training will be provided
- Report to the Housekeeping Manager or Maintenance Manager any defects, damage or health and safety issues in the areas where you work
- Use equipment and cleaning materials in a safe manner and in accordance with manufacturers' instructions.
Person Specification
We are looking for a reliable person who takes pride in cleaning.
You will preferably have cleaning experience and an understanding of COSHH regulations but this is not essential as training will be provided.
A sound level of English to be able to undertake the role is essential.Compensation and Benefits
The rate of pay is £11.35 per hour.
The working hours are 7am to 2pm (35 hours per week) over five days out of seven. This will typically be Mondays to Fridays but it will include weekend days too. There will be a 30-minute paid break each day.
There is a probationary period of three months.
