Description
We are looking for a full time hotel porter. Working days are Monday to Sunday, 5 days with 2 days off and hours will be 7am-2pm or 2pm-10pm. We do not offer live in positions.Responsibilities:
- Lift and transport linen to designated areas, ensuring cleanliness and hygiene standards are maintained.
- Collaborate with housekeeping staff to coordinate linen distribution and collection.
- Assist guests with the delivery and collection of luggage, ensuring a prompt and courteous service.
- Handle group luggage logistics efficiently, coordinating with the front desk for accurate information.
- Set up and service meeting rooms according to specified configurations and requirements.
- Arrange and maintain audiovisual equipment as needed for conferences and events.
- Perform basic maintenance duties, such as changing light bulbs, responding to guest reported issues in rooms and ensuring the overall cleanliness and functionality of public areas.
- Deliver food and beverages to guest rooms as part of room service.
- Prepare rooms for guest arrivals, including placing welcome amenities such as wine or other requested items.
- Provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere for guests, assisting with inquiries and offering information about hotel services.
- Work collaboratively with various hotel departments, including housekeeping, front desk, and maintenance, to ensure a coordinated and efficient operation.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to create a secure environment for both guests and staff.
- Report any maintenance or safety concerns to the appropriate department.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisors or management to contribute to the overall efficiency and functionality of the hotel
