As QC Inspection Cell Lead, reporting directly to the Production Manager, you will manage the machine centre Cell and inspection function the personnel that work in these areas and be responsible and accountable for the delivery of inspection services throughout the site. You will utilise your technical knowledge to offer guidance and direction to the staffing under your responsibility to ensure the function operates efficiently and effectively (right first time and on time).

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Establishing departmental KPI's, monitoring output, quality, NCR's, CAPA's, process, methodology and techniques to ensure that the processes operate effectively and efficiently and are continually developed. You will also work to categorise and develop the relevant inspection criteria using data to justify the rational for the process which offers the most appropriate balance between cost, risk and benefit and ensure this is recorded and fixed into the ERP system.

You will also use your technical knowledge and experience to ensure all technical aspects and processes affiliated with the product process are met. This will require liaising/auditing/visiting and advising other functions, suppliers and other interested parties to ensure the technical and regulatory requirements with respect to defined requirements imposed are identified and complied with.

Within the team you will foster a sense of urgency in respect of processing workload, with the eye firmly on accuracy and fitness for purpose and ensure that the prioritisation of workload is as advised by due dates. You will drive the team ethic to ensure that all a re

an active role in the continual improvement and development of the process.

As the Machine centre/QC Cell Lead you will also play an active role in the machining and inspection of parts against relevant specification, drawings, and ensure that the products manufactured and inspected are done so in a timely and accurate manner. You will be expected to be an individual decision maker, and take ownership of the process, staffing levels, and competencies. The daily operation of the function should be conducted with the need for mínimal support.

EXPERIENCE

  • Working knowledge as a QC Inspection
  • Previous experience Managing a team

Skills, Training, Specialist Knowledge

  • Be able to understand engineering drawings
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft word and excel
