    Leasehold Advisory Service (LEASE) London

    Description

    Salary:
£58,000.18 month fixed-term contract with the possibility of becoming permanent.

Use your creative expertise and leadership skills to make a meaningful impact — and help shape the future of housing advice.

At the Leasehold Advisory Service (LEASE), we are here to help leaseholders, shared owners and park home residents understand their rights and responsibilities and help more people feel confident in managing their own homes.

Our legal guidance and digital learning products are free, independent, and trusted by thousands of people, but we want to go further.

That is why we are on an ambitious journey to become a digital first organisation, expanding our reach and making our advice more accessible, and our online products more comprehensive than ever before.

We are looking for a Digital Learning and Training Lead who shares our commitment to clear, practical advice, first-class learning products, and building well-informed consumers.

We want someone excited by the opportunity to help us deliver advice and training to more people, in smarter innovative ways.

The ideal candidate should be a skilled and creative training designer and manager - with ideally experience in the housing sector and/or legal sector.

You will lead the development of an engaging, accessible, and user-centric digital learning and training hub for LEASE.

You will work closely with subject matter and legal experts, our partner organisation's and our digital change team to design new engaging and innovative learning solutions.

These new resources will make full use of all available technology, including AI and communication channels, to target effective learning where it is most needed.

The learning hub you will develop, and lead will support millions of leaseholders to manage their own homes and to be informed and discerning consumers of housing management services.

    What You Will Be Doing
Scoping, developing and creating education and learning materials for our website and a wide variety of other channels e.g. YouTube, social media etc.

that support the range of consumers we serve (from someone thinking about buying a leasehold property to a resident Director of a high-rise building).

Helping leaseholders, shared owners and park home residents understand complex legal issues in a simple, accessible way that speaks to their experience and issues.

Working closely with our digital team, content designers, and user experience team to ensure that our programme of learning is suitable for the audiences we support and ensuring that leaseholders complete and benefit from our digital learning resources etc.

Working with and developing our stakeholder network so that our learning offer is as comprehensive and useful as possible; and building and running partnership projects.

Engaging directly with the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government to ensure the digital learning offer supports the Government's wider ambitions on commonhold and leasehold reform.

Procuring and contracting with providers to deliver new products and tools for our digital platform.
Exploring accreditation options to build the credibility of the LEASE digital training offer.

Play a key role in the leadership team at LEASE - supporting the improvement, development, and implementation of transformation at LEASE and the development of our digital first offer.

Contributing to our broader mission to modernise and expand the way we deliver advice.
Keeping up to date with legal developments and emerging issues in leasehold.

    About LEASE

There are an estimated 5 million leaseholders in England and Wales, and many of them need help and support to understand and enforce their rights.

LEASE has long been the main source of free impartial advice on leasehold ownership. Each year 1.3 million people visit our website and 30,000 people email or call us looking for direct advice. As the leasehold sector grows, we expect these numbers to increase.

LEASE is a small but developing government funded organisation of just over 35 people - with a wide range of specialisms.

You will join our established management team and work closely with legal advisors.

About You (Competencies - Technical and Experience)
Demonstrable experience in developing digital educational and learning material.
Demonstrable experience of creating online content to explain complex issues in an accessible, easy to understand way.
Experience in leadership and management and running a suite of learning and training products.
Excellent interpersonal skills and written, oral and communication skills.
Demonstrable experience using technology such as AI to develop learning tools.
Stakeholder management skills and experience of developing and leading joint projects.

Solid knowledge of housing or law — particularly residential leasehold and/or park home legislation — and a willingness to learn fast.

    Training and Benefits

LEASE is committed to supporting staff with training and development which can be tailored to business requirements and individual needs.

The post is open to part-time, flexible working and job-share applicants

    Other benefits include:
27 days annual leave and Bank Holidays
    One professional subscription paid
    10% non-contributory pension
    A friendly and supportive culture

Attendance is also required at staff awaydays. Additional flexibility on office attendance may be available to those living outside the Southeast subject to business needs.

    Security and Right to Work
Successful candidates must pass a Disclosure and Barring Service check. Candidates must have the right to live and work in the UK. They will be subject to UK immigration requirements.
