Pay Rate:
£24.97/hr PAYE

Deliverables
Reporting:
- Maintenance of existing reports to meet evolving business requirements using Tableau developer license & software.
- Manage and control cost reports using Tableau desktop/server
- Develop high quality visualisations consistent with corporate ID
- Develop and maintain best practices in the use of Tableau
- Maintain subscriptions, data source extracts (data joins, data filters, prioritisation & refresh schedules) etc.
- Understand customer and business requirements to create new reports, delivering simple summaries from complex source data
- Develop training material and deliver training on the use of the reporting tools
- Analyse the data output to identify trends, opportunities, risks, anomalies and areas requiring action.
- Support the wider business with their Tableau deployment (data preparation and visualization)
Description
The Cost Reduction Promotion and Strategy function oversees planning and managing the pre-SOP and lifecycle cost reduction business for all R&D projects in Europe.
The responsibilities include:
- Lead cost reporting using Tableau + other strategic BI tools
- Lead in the European requirements gathering and end user testing for the new global cost system (E2E)
- Support delivery of cost reduction objective
- Provide expert support to engineers regarding sources of data, systems and processes.
- Periodic remote working may be required inline with Co. policy.
- Infrequent national and international travel to may be required.
- Willingness to support other areas of the department as and when required.
Qualifications, Skills and Training Requirements
- Must have expert knowledge of Tableau desktop (developer licence), Tableau server + other BI tools (or Tableau Public profile)
- Ideally qualified to degree level or equivalent experience
- Strong PC skills with Office 365, Excel, Access, MS PowerPoint and MS Word are essential
- Knowledge of power query (Excel)
- Knowledge of SQL (able to edit script)
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal skills and communication/presentation skills
- Selfmotivated to plan and action activities with other sites
- Experience to lead a team and/or project including preparation of detailed documentation (business requirements and mock up creation)
- Ability to identify and develop process improvement opportunities
- Some understanding of vehicle components, systems and the vehicle development processes is desirable but not essential
- Team player
- Languages: English fluent, (Spanish or French advantageous)
- Training will be provided in specific systems and processes
