Job summary:

Contract Type - Part time / Temporary
The post is for a minimum term of 9 months with view to extend if required.

We are looking for an enthusiastic qualified dispenser to join our small dispensing team.

Essential:

• Qualified Dispenser NVQ 2 or recognised equivalent

• Applications must have a current UK professional registration

Job description

Main duties of the job:


Job responsibilities including but not limited to:

-Dispensing prescriptions in accordance of SOP's


-Receiving and processing patients repeat requests

-Ordering pharmacy stock and putting stock to shelf


-End of month

• Dealing with telephone enquiries both internal and external
• Booking appointments
• Handling cash / private prescription payments
• Adhere to SOP's
• Advise patients of any instructions from the GP's
• General housekeeping of the dispensary, date checking etc
• Prompt time keeping
• Knowledge of DRUMS (Dispensary Review of Use of Medicines) would be an advantage but not essential as training will be given

£8.95-£10.72 per hour

• Sunderland, SR2 9QE: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:

• GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

Experience:

• Pharmacy: 1 year (preferred)

Pharmacy Dispenser: 1 year (preferred)


Licence/Certification:

• NVQ 2 or recognised equivalent (preferred)
