Job Purpose
We are looking for a Material Scheduler to join our growing team at Princes Cardiff.

Princes has recently invested over £60m into the Cardiff site transforming it into one of Europe's leading Centres of Juice Excellence.

You will schedule the delivery of appropriate quantities of raw materials and packaging to meet requirements for Ambient and Chill production, whilst maintaining target stock levels and controlling costs within budgeted levels.

Dimensions & Key Responsibilities

  • Raw Material management (c.300 SKUs)
  • Packaging material management (c.500 SKUs)
  • Provide support to MES project and other project work as required
  • Producing reports for the business
  • The nature of this position requires a logical and diligent individual to provide a comprehensive service to the factory. Must be self-organised and motivated, with the ability to prioritise and work under pressure. Proven ability and experience of juggling day-to-day tasks and project work in a complex environment with high levels of change.
  • External communications and co-ordination as required
  • Interact with the APO Production Planning software to obtain information and extract reports
  • Control costs within budget for management of materials (Storage, Haulage, Demurrage)
  • Cover the other roles in the Planning team as required
  • These are the key daily tasks, not a comprehensive list of all tasks undertaken by the jobholder. Flexibility is required by the business & this will be agreed with the individual's line manager.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • The position requires fundamental understanding and experience of material scheduling, inventory management, production planning and manufacturing
  • Essential: Minimum 5 years' experience of material scheduling and inventory management in a highvolume environment ideally with experience of production planning in addition
  • Previous use of integrated planning software (ideally APO)
  • Proven ability and experience of juggling daytoday tasks and project work in a complex environment with high levels of change
  • Advanced knowledge of SAP
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Comfortable interacting with personnel at all levels of the business, at Cardiff site, at Head Office and externally
  • Self organised and motivated, with the ability to prioritise and work under pressure
  • Willingness and ability to support other areas of the Planning department and the business quick to learn new information and keen to progress within the organisation
