Senior Estimator

Wellingborough

Monday-Friday

Up to £50k DOE
We are currently partnering with a nationwide contractor within the construction industry.

This is an exciting time to be joining our client as they are currently in a significant period of growth, and they are seeking individuals who aspire to grow andbe a part of their exciting journey.

To be successful within this role you will be a self-starter, with a collaborative approach to your work. Analytically minded, with an eye for detail.


The role:


  • Leading the team in understanding their clients' needs
  • Preparation of tenders for projects, including programmes
  • Managing any quality submissions
  • Completing tender reviews for all estimates
  • Preparation and submission of quotes for work
  • Supporting the buying activities and bids to win new contracts
  • Gathering quotes from the subcontractors and suppliers
  • Researching materials, equipment, and labour costs
  • Reviewing and providing proposals for improved purchasing
  • Preparing budgets and labour profiles, prior to tender handovers
  • Developing and coaching the junior estimators
  • Supporting management to develop and grow the team

Requirements for the role:


  • Previous experience in Estimating
  • Full knowledge of NEC3, NEC4 contracts
  • Skilled communicator
  • MS Office
  • Continuous management in key tenders
  • Ability to demonstrate strong leadership skills
  • Expose to the tender process and managing tender documentation
